  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add in maple syrup and mix well.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry mixture to wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spaced apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with maple syrup until smooth and drizzle over cooled cookies.
